BOOK/LAYOUT DESIGN

WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT

In 2020, when the lights in every concert venue dimmed and I was unsure if I would ever see live music ever again, I re-visited a college project where I compiled some of my best concert photography shots from my time in New York and Florida.

This full color photo book features over 80 pages of glossy, high quality images from various shows documented by myself. As a part of my on-going series capturing shows for various publications, I made this book primarily to create a narrative about the New York music scene and its changing face. Mainly, I focused on indie rock, pop, and rap artists and chose to feature more people of color, LGBTQ people, and especially gender non-conforming people. Images range from wild, intense live music shots to more formal portraits and polaroids.
